Sometimes, I am a good wife. Sometimes.
This time, I kinda rocked it when I told my hubs that he would be getting a chance to play the new Assassin’s Creed for Xbox. Yea, he kinda loved me for that. But I was a bit surprised when I found that I enjoyed playing it too! Wanna hear why… read on…
So, I have barely touched a game since the time of Mario and only play singing and dancing games on my Wii. I leave the “strategy” games to the hubs and my baby (ahem..24 yrs old) brother. But I wanted to see what the big to do was about so I sat in as the man began playing (after he ripped it out of my hands).
1- The graphics? AMAZING. Seriously.. I would walk away and come back and I could swear I was watching a real life movie. This pics don’t do it justice:

2- The story? Yea, kinda sucks you in. I was a little lost at the beginning cause I knew zip about it, but I was filled in pretty quick by the man, after he gave me that annoyed- you are such a chick- look that I see during Sunday Football when I ask why one guy hit the other. Sigh. Anyway- it starts as a flashback to the previous game, and drops you right into controlling Desmond, in the present day year 2012. He is stuck in the animus system due to previous events (last game). The animus tells you why you are stuck there and it also explains to you what you need to do to get out and save yourself. There is a portal that you must walk through to fix things and as soon as you walk through, that’s when the adventure begins and you start to relive Desmond’s memories which are filled of the assassins that are his descendants. Pretty cool eh?

3- The playing? FUN. Ok- so sneaking up and killing bad guys while being all super stealthy and showing off bad ass moves is KINDA cool. But for me? The most fun was trying to knock the Templars of their horse and buggies. Maybe it’s the Angeleno road rage in me…hmmm. But is was pretty fun and yes, I probably will be playing this when the hubs isn’t looking.

What did the hubs think? Well, let’s just say this is the angle I have seen him from in the past 48 hrs:

I think that’s the seal of approval in guy speak.
BUY IT
Right now, Amazon is having an AMAZING gold box deal which you can check out right HERE. Remember, this game is rated M and should be purchased for adults over the age of 18 (it’s kinda graphic- make sure the kiddos aren’t around).

This is one that my son is raving about! I know he would love to get it for Christmas.
My son loves the assassins creed brotherhood, so I’m thinking he’s gonna love this, I’m gonna have to grab this up for sure!
This is definitely something I see my son in law playing. He loves Resident Evil type of games so he would probably like this, too!
I used to complain about my husband and son playing video games all the time until I tried playing this series. I’ve been sucked in ever since. I think they planned it that way.
I so love this!!
This game is a real hit with a relative! He really loves this game!
i’ve also watched some when my husband played this game. the graphics ARE great. but its a bit violent for my taste. He did move on to other games though.
