Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Lotion Review

Living in a dry, cold climate like Boston is harsh on anyone’s skin; but on my naturally dry skin it’s wicked brutal! Not only does my skin flake, I get red patches when the climate goes negative. It’s not pretty and very uncomfortable. I’m always wary of trying products that cater specifically to dry skin. I usually end up breaking out because the product is so oily.

I need my skin to drink up the moisture, not let it sit on the surface. When two lovely products arrived from Neutrogena I didn’t hesitate at all. Neutrogena is famous for a good reason. Their new Ultra Gentle Soothing Line  is clinically proven to instantly soothe even the most sensitive skin. It’s lightweight and oil-free to use daily, plus reduces redness with its chamomile blend.

I like to use the lotion in the morning for a lighter treatment and the spf15 protection. Even in winter, spf is so important!

At night I use the Ultra Gentle Soothing Cream. The cream is thicker than the lotion and helps keep my skin hydrated throughout the night.

Here are some quick facts about Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Soothing Cream:

Clinically proven to:

    • Make sensitive skin less sensitive
    • Visibly reduce redness
    • Strengthen skin’s moisture barrier
    • Make skin less sensitive over time
    • Contains gentle hypoallergenic fragrance uniquely developed for sensitive skin
    • Oil-free and allergy tested

..and Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Soothing Lotion:

Daily lotion formulated with a soothing chamomile blend to instantly hydrate and calm sensitive skin while providing  broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection

Clinically proven to:

    • Make sensitive skin less sensitive

My winter beauty woes are pretty much the same as in summer as I live in Florida and the worst culprit is the sun. I have to ensure that not only does the moisturizer I use not irritate myskin or make me break out but it also has to protect me from the sun which generally means I have to wear two types and then I have to ensure that they work together! After all that, the next question is can I afford it??
