One of the many fantastic reasons I love being part of the #ToyotaWomen Network, is because Toyota does so much to give back. How? Well let’s talk about their huge program which just kicked off a couple days ago- 100 Cars for Good.
“Toyota believes that motor vehicles, and the mobility they provide, contribute to the betterment of society. They can be particularly important in enhancing the good works of charitable organizations in local communities, fulfilling their transportation needs to help extend the reach and efficiency of their good works.”
Right now through March 26, 2012- any nonprofit can apply to receive 1 of 100 cars from Toyota. Once applications are reviewed, Toyota will pick 500 finalists to compete for 100 days. Every day 5 will compete by a voting system on Facebook. The winner of the 5 will win a car and the 4 other finalists will receive $1,000 cash. So every finalist is winner! It’s really amazing that Toyota believes so much in giving back that they will give a nonprofit a vehicle to further their nonprofit works as well.
Are you a non-profit wanting to apply? Here are some important tips and dates:
March 12- Application period begins
March 26- Application period closes
April 10- Finalists notified via email
May 14- Voting Begins
Sept 1- Voting ends (100 days)
