Curb Appeal with Lowe’s #LowesCreator {$100 Lowes Gift Card Giveaway}

Living in an apartment, we are a bit limited to what we can do to the front of our place to make it more appealing. But when Lowe’s put us up for the challenge we thought- hey, let’s brighten this dull front up! I mean we just did our daughter’s room and it has changed her bedroom for the better. So we did what would only fit the summer and add a bit of color- we planted flowers.

When my husband and I first moved in together, we lived in Pennsylvania and he did seasonal landscaping when he returned from the military. So I kinda lucked out because I have never so much as watered a plant. So of course, he taught me and Sofia a thing or two about flowers, gardening and how exactly to get these babies to grow.

As it turned out, our dirt was dry. There hadn’t been much plant activity going on in our front area so he had to do these technique of pulling all the dirt from the bottom and circling it with the top as well as watering it over and over, to get some moisture into the soil.

Then he noted that on the side of each flower pot, it had directions on how much space the plant would need to grow and he measured the plot accordingly. First up, the Asiatic Lily which we purchased for $24.98.

Which we followed with a Calibrachoa, purchased at Lowe’s for $9.98, but I can’t seem to find the link.

and also the Kalanchoe which we purchased for $9.98

We also purchased gardening tools for Sofia (Disney Princess Trowel for $4.98 and Disney Princess Cultivator for $4.98, and a set for daddy for about $15).

Overall, for about $70, which included tools, we added a little color to our curb and Sofia and the man got some daddy-daughter time. Perfect summer activity for my little family.

And now, you have a chance to add some curb appeal to your home. Enter on the form below for your chance to win $100 Lowe’s Gift Card. Ends 6/12 at 11:59pm EST, open to US only, void where prohibited. Good Luck!
