While I was away to New York and North Carolina last week, my hubs and daughter got a little treat thanks to the Disney Store! As it turned out, the Disney Store was having a Grand Opening event for their newly designed store at the Glendale Galleria…and my little princess was invited!

In this household- Disney rules all…and the Disney Store is my little girl’s idea of heaven. So while I was away, my family got a chance to check out the store and all it’s awesomeness.

The Glendale Galleria has given me many memories. In fact, when I was very young, my grandmother would take me to church in Glendale and we would then walk to the Galleria and spend hours window shopping- mainly me, parked inside the Disney Store. It’s one of my most fondest memories of my childhood.
The Glendale Galleria store first opened in 1987 and was the Disney Store’s inaugural location. The remodeled location will provide guests with interactive and magical experiences for Disney fans of all ages. Disney Store’s new design concept aims to deliver “the best 30 minutes of a child’s day” through storytelling neighborhoods featuring a Disney Princess with magic mirror, translucent trees, and the Disney Store Theatre featuring the latest Disney entertainment. On grand opening day, my family had the opportunity to meet Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Belle and the Beast in the mall’s center court. Sofia LOVES Belle and Rapunzel so she was beside herself. Although, my husband tells me it was tough getting her out of the little castle in the store

...the dark hair beauty is my baby!
April 29th was not just a grand opening though…no. The Disney Store also celebrated World Wish Day®, a global celebration of the day that sparked a global wish-granting movement by Make-A-Wish®, in conjunction with the grand opening of the Glendale Galleria store. Disney Store made a $50,000 donation in honor of World Wish Day and will also donate $1 for every Jiminy Cricket Make-A-Wish Vinylmation figure sold, up to $15,000. In addition, Disney Store will donate 10 percent of the grand opening day’s sales to Make-A-Wish in the United States.
So if you are in the area, or near any newly redesigned Disney Store, go in and check it out. Maybe buy a Jiminy Cricket or two (send one to me!).

Jiminy Cricket is my favorite!! In girlscout we had to pick a character. I picked Him!
I’m glad the rest of your family had some fun while you were out gallivanting around.
