Sassy Mama Goes to the White House!!

I have been amazingly blessed this year and I think this may never be topped. I am honored, amazed, humbled and SO FREAKING EXCITED to announce that I am heading to Washington, DC for a Top Blogueras Retreat and while there- we have been invited for a briefing at THE WHITE HOUSE! Yes, “THE” White House.

I am the first person born in the United States from my family. My grandparents knew 2 phrases in English when they immigrated. They valued family and hard work, it’s thanks to them I know how to work hard for what I want. Now, here I am, heading to the very heart of what it means to be an American and what the United States represents and what took me there was this little blog of mine. Words just cannot put into place what I am feeling right now. Especially when I am among so many wonderful, talented and incredible women. See the list below, and a snippet from the press release. Now- I better go pack…again.

    Congratulations!

It is so wonderful to live in a country where we can visit the government and see where all the action takes place. In so many countries throughout the world, the government offices are heavily guarded and civilians would never be able to enter. We are so very lucky to have our freedom.

Enjoy your visit! Take lots of pictures for posting! ~Pauline

What an inspiring post. Congrats to you for the flow of patriotism. Sadly, I lived only 20 min. from the Whitehouse for most of my life, and I never toured. DC is quite fun though! My fav. Smithsonian is the Air & Space Museum. A must see, especially the Albert Einstein planetarium!
