Living in LA, I sometimes feel like one of the luckiest people in the world. Our weather is just divine. Summers can be scorching though, but yet, if you sit outdoors, you can feel that perfectly light breeze and enjoy the beauty around you…you can almost forget you live in a city with millions of people. Well, first you kinda need a place to sit and then a place to shade you right? I mean, my yard area is pretty but it’s so… so.. EMPTY.
I recently made a small addition which has begun to liven everything up:
But now, I am hooked…I want more. So I got to daydreaming and e-window shopping at one of my favorite stores, Sears. I want to create a space that me and my whole family could share so that we could spend time with each other outdoors and not cooped up inside in front of a computer (me!) or TV (them!). So I knew I had to think about things my husband would enjoy, and supply some shade for my daughter.
Lucky for me, Sears has an amazing online catalog with perfect selections for the outdoors, so naturally I went there first. The front page of the catalog made me squeal it’s so pretty.
They had many ideas for outdoor dining sets. I thought these would be perfect as my family could be out and about, and I could even do some work on the tables if I needed to. I saw lots of ideas in the Sears Style Hub also.
But… I found my perfect set immediately. It was like bells went off when I saw it and I just had to have it on my wish list…I mean, you never know right? Here is my set:
Don’t you just love it? It’s perfect! And you know what made it better? The fact that right now, you can get up to 30% off patio furniture and grills. In fact, when I checked my local ad it was full of deals and sales!
However, it didn’t protect much. So I looked around for a great shading, preferably something sturdy that was meant to withstand a very hyper 5 ys old girl. I wasn’t disappointed…
So we had seating, shade… and now, food! YUM.. I love that summer means grilled EVERYTHING! Now that is my husband’s section. He loves it, would spend days and days on a grill if given the choice. Lo and behold, Sears has a whole area divided to picking on the best grill for your price range and type. Grilling is Happiness indeed!
It asked me a few key questions and then popped up with grills that would match not only my style, but the aura I wanted to create. I checked out many but saw the grill I just *have to have)*.
Once I entered my must haves, the Grill Finder helped me select the perfect grill for my family and also let me know that all Grills on sale! Not only could I build my outdoor dream come true but I could do it on a budget with these amazing sales! Be sure to check out the Red Tag Event for great deals on Patio Furniture and Grills, you will not only build your dream set but you can have it too!
Here is my wish list…don’t you just love it?

I LOVE that we both chose the same water feature. I love those green urns with the water pouring out. SO peaceful. I’ve only been to LA in the winter but I didn’t know that it got that hot there! I just moved to Raleigh, NC and it has been in the 105* range with moderate humidity. We moved here from Savannah, GA which has been in the 115* range with 85% humidity which means that it feels like…well, HELL. 105* feels like heaven compared to that 115* with high humidity!
These items would sure brighten any yard or patio. I usually buy this stuff at the end of the summer when they’re on sale. Sometimes your lucky and get just what you wanted. Thanks for the review.
I love your choices. I hope you get to fulfill your wish list soon and your back yard is a happy place soon!
Great choices! I love the patio set, we actually picked the same one!
