There are some things in this world that just beckon my name. Coffee in the morning, sunset colored nail polish, pretty but not at all comfortable shoes, that handbag that costs more than my rent…and, chocolate. Delightful, delicious wonderful chocolate. I can give up many things, but chocolate will never be one of them. In my life I need my tiny moments to just get away, even if it is just through my tastebuds. This summer I am declaring my “Sweet Independence” with Hershey’s Simple Pleasures.
So what are these delectable chocolates I am talking about? Hershey’s Simple Pleasures are Hershey’s latest addition to their chocolate family with one big difference. Hershey’s Simple Pleasures chocolates have 30 percent less fat than the average leading milk chocolates and only 180 calories for six! All yum, less guilt… I am so in! Lucky for me, the chocolate gods smiles upon my household and I got a chance to try three flavors. Dark Chocolate with Chocolate Creme, the Milk Chocolate with Chocolate Creme, and the Milk Chocolate with Vanilla all from Hershey’s Simple Pleasures. You’ll notice in the pictures there are only two bags.
Yes, well… I am not the only chocolate fan at home. My husband is WAY worse and before I even got home the first day, the first bag was gone. Well, all but one remained… and I devoured it.
My favorite was the one I only got to try two of- the dark chocolate with the chocolate creme, followed closely by the milk chocolate with vanilla creme. My husband also loved the dark chocolate (ha!) and then the milk chocolate with the chocolate creme second. They each were the perfect size… two nibbles worth and they weren’t overly rich nor bland. I may just go buy a few more packs…and hide them from my husband this time!

Those chocolates just made my mouth water and I didn’t even taste them…. so unfair. I will have to get my hands on those guilt-free Hersheys soon! I like sunset colored nail polish too!
