Becoming a mom is one of the most amazing things can can ever happen to you. It was to me anyway. But along with the excitement and joy, comes fears of the unknown, of the future and wondering how you can protect your children in the long run of the unexpected. I was introduced to Cord Blood Banking by a lactation consultant I was meeting with prior to having my daughter. I wanted more info, and I remember asking my ob-gyn, and they didn’t have much more info for me. This was 2007 and while more and more info was emerging, I just wasnt prepared enough and decided against it at the time.
If we ever have another child, I will definitely be considering Cord Banking more seriously. It’s insurance in my child’s future- for her to stay healthy in the long term.
