Disneyland and California Adventure Are For The Kid In All Of Us #DisneyInHomeBloggers

I could say I had mommy guilt about leaving my three little ones in gloomy Boston and flying to sunny Southern California for a three day Disney extravaganza.

could say that, but I’d be lying.

After three long Summer months of juggling kids, blogging, never leaving the kitchen because everyone is having a growth spurt and hungry every 15 minutes; this awesome #DisneyInHomeBloggers trip came to rescue this tired mama.

Having grown up minutes from Disneyland, I had been several times. But,this is the first time I’ve gone to Disneyland without kids.

Disneyland is for the kid in all of us. You definitely don’t have to be a kid to be touched by Disney magic. If you are able to, I encourage parents to take a trip to Disneyland without kids.

Let me repeat that. Just once, take a trip to the Magic Kingdom without the kids. I found myself missing my husband more than the kids! I wanted him to experience the rides, food and thrills without diaper changes, stroller parking and food stops every 5 minutes.

I was able to take in the sites and sounds. Next time I go, I’ll be better able to navigate the park because I already scoped out so many things, so we won’t be lost walking in circles!

Our first stop was Disney California Adventure. It’s steps from Disneyland..yes steps. Just walking through the gates you get the retro vibe of the 50′s, it’s awesome! It is a different park than Disneyland so you will need to purchase a separate ticket, or get a hopper for both parks.

These were my awesome companions on this trip! Smiling, chatty, accomplished bloggers all ready to have fun in the sun. The latest attraction to open up in Disney’s California Adventure is Cars Land! It just opened in June of this year!

Get your kicks on Route 66! As you walk along Route 66 you come across all your favorites from the movie: Flo’s V8 Cafe, Mater’s Junkyard and I just had to take a pic in front of the Cozy Cone Motel!

The star of the show is definitely Radiator Springs! Can’t you tell with all the bloggers taking a ton of pics! Located at the end of Cars Land, you definitely want to head their first and get in line ASAP! It fills up fast and you can see why. If you are doing fast pass, use it for this!

It’s a high speed track and you race against other visitors. The turns are fast and there are just enough little bumps to make your stomach drop. Yes, fun!

After California Adventure we headed to Disneyland..aah..The Happiest Place on Earth! The park was not as full as this pic may have you believe. But this spot, located at the end of Main St.,  is a popular photo opp with the castle behind it.

We had free time in the park to ride, shop and dine on our own.

Being The Frugalette that I am..I was excited to find this little gem on Main St.! No breaking the bank here, love it!

I couldn’t leave Disney without some fun souvenirs. What does a coffee addict get?

An adorable mug of course to make my morning magical!

Disclosure: I visited Disney as part of an all expense paid press trip. I received no other compensation. All thoughts, smiles and good fun are mine alone! And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

That looks like so much fun! Can’t wait to check out Cars Land – I’ve heard so many good things (but the new attractions mean CRAZY lines, so I’m a chicken and I wait them out for a few months, haha).

Resa, good advice! It did just open in June, which is why the lines were probably crazier than usual!

Sounds like you had a good time. Sometimes it is great to get away from the kids. :)
