My daughter has quite the imagination. She always has. She has dolls of all kinds and she always makes stories about her dolls. Sometimes, as a reward or treat, I will take her shopping with me and she can pick out one toy of her choosing that mommy (ahem..mommy’s wallet) approves of. A few times she has grabbed the super cute Polly Pocket series. However, I always worried she would lose pieces cause they were so tiny or that she would get frustrated with not being able to create a little dream home. So imagine her delight when one day, a box came including a Polly Pocket Hangout House and a Polly Pocket Game Room from the many Stick N Play Assortments.
The second we popped these open, she took over. As I was taking each piece out of the plastic lining, I was very aware of the fact that the pieces seemed larger to me than I remember the older ones being. That was a definite plus. My daughter is the queen of losing toy pieces and I was happy that at least they wouldn’t be impossible to find. Also, um.. suction cups! She could actually set the scene in her little home and the pieces would actually stick.
Sofia is still in love with Polly Pocket, and now mommy is a fan too…but you won’t see me play with it anytime soon cause she won’t let me! She’s too busy setting up the game room, and bed, and pool, and…hey, maybe we should move in?
Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Mattel Polly Pocket. I received a product samples and a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
