Last week I told you all about my stay at the Langham Huntington Pasadena Hotel and Spa for an event celebrating the upcoming release of Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta!
Well, the day has come… you can know own your own copy of the last in a series of movies about Papi (voiced by George Lopez), Chloe (voiced by Odette Annable) and their cast of pups. Here is a little about the film:
Papi and Chloe are joined by their five playful pups in an all-new family comedy. It’s canine chaos as Papi’s family (dog and human) move into the posh Langham Hotel, complete with a luxurious doggy spa. But there’s trouble in puppy paradise when Rosa, the littlest member of the pack, feels smaller and less special than ever. Now it’s up to Papi to help Rosa find – and celebrate – her inner strength, which turns out to be bigger than she ever dreamed and reminds humans and canines alike of the importance of family, friends and teamwork.
When I first was told about the movie, I admit… I kinda sighed and wasn’t very excited about it. Truthfully, this would not be my first choice in family entertainment. However, I once I watched the film, I actually found myself being entertained about 20 mins in. The pups are just way to cute and I dunno, but something about animal actors just mystifies me. The story is light and sweet, and does touch briefly on some pieces of my Latin culture, which was pretty cool. My daughter pretty much begged me to put it on when she saw I had it in my hands and she loved it. She even started asking me what a Quinceanera was and if she was going to have one herself. That’s a whole other story!
I would definitely suggest picking up Beverly Hill Chihuahua 3 for the whole family to just have a fun night in. Don’t be surprised if your kids decide they want a talking dog.
Disclosure: I was invited to a press event which included all travel accomodations for the purposes of this post. No compensation was received. All opinions, thoughts and pictures (unless otherwise noted) are 100% my own.
