Finding Nemo 3D: Experience His World #DisneyInHomeBloggers

Something old, something new, nothing borrowed, but a lot of blue!

No, Nemo doesn’t get married in 3D, but this classic movie, set in the blue waters of Australia, is definitely new and improved!

Finding Nemo, the animated movie that set the gold standard for all others is back. Winning an Oscar wasn’t enough for the little guy, he wants you to see him closer, crisper and clearer than ever before.

What a way to start the trip! This is on the first day of #DisneyInHomeBloggers; a pic of all of us in the private screening room at Disney Studios with our 3D glasses on, ready to watch!

If only these walls could talk. I wonder who else screened movies here?

For those with short term memory akin to Dory, here’s a quick reminder of the story: Nemo, and his father Marlin, are separated and with the help of Dory, said forgetful fish, they try to reunite. It’s a wild ride, or rather swim and all the characters have strong personalities and memorable one-liners.

Marlin,”It’s because I like you, I don’t want to be with you. It’s a complicated emotion.”

Finding Nemo 3D is an experience into Nemo’s world. Take any notions you have about 3D movies and put them aside; this is different. Water won’t look like it’s about to splash on you. These school fish will not make you dizzy spinning circles. It’s not that kind of 3D.

It’s this kind: depth, details, and an immersion into the ocean word below. It is visually stunning! Since I knew the story of Nemo well, I found myself focusing on the environment and effects of 3D.

If you take your kids, they will not be jumping off their seat (unless they’re my kids, they jump for everything) because a shark is about to open his jaws over their head. This is what I really liked about the movie. Young children will not be 3D scared. They will be turning their heads to look at all the coral, fish and creatures roaming around. It’s an experience into Nemo’s world.

It comes out this weekend, September 14, are you planning to go?

Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post. I was given the chance to see an advanced screening in order to facilitate my review.
