Pampering Yourself and Your Pup at the Luxurious Langham Huntington Pasadena

I remember earlier this year one of my friends asked me something that I thought was a bit odd at the time. She said, “Can you recommend a pet friendly hotel that also pampers and grooms them?” I think I giggled. However, I then remembered my mom who has eight, yes, EIGHT dogs. Each she treats like one of her own children (sometimes better!) and she travels with one or more each time she heads somewhere. Dogs are family too, so it is only natural to pamper them whenever you get a chance. In Los Angeles, the place to do that is the Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa in Pasadena, CA.

Nestled deep in the middle of Pasadena, near the Foothill mountains, the Langham is truly just what the doctor ordered for some major R&R. Awhile back I had a chance to review the spa services, so I knew they had amazing services to offer their guests.

What I didn’t know, was that recently the Langham has introduced their Langham Doggie Program (for an additional fee) where you can give your furry loved one, the pampering treatment they deserve. Included in the program are:

  • Langham Pink Porcelain Pet Bowl
  • Gold Mat
  • Plush Pink Bed Pillow
  • Bag of gourmet doggie treats
  • Doggie Door Hanger
For an additional fee, they also had Doggie Spa Services provided by Bliss Paws. If you don’t think a dog can relish a massage the way we can… take a look at Whirlwind of Surprises‘ pup, Baby Pom enjoying himself as a certified canine massage therapist provides him with a massage tailored for dogs.
I think the look says it all.
They also have an exclusive doggie dining menu that included meals like Filet Mignon and Eggs, Grilled free range chicken and rice and more. My mom didn’t let me steal one of her dogs away so I talked to the other bloggers that did bring their pooches and found that each dog went crazy over their doggie meals.

So it made perfect sense when upon watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta!, I realized that the Langham was where the entire movie was filmed. Next time I have a couple days with my mom’s little army of pommies, I may just have us take a mini vacation to Pasadena. I have to admit… I miss the Langham. From the second I arrived I was treated like royalty.
Wanna see my favorite parts of my room? Ahem.
Yup- that large, glorious bath tub that I slipped into and almost fell asleep in was just what the doctor ordered for this overworked mama. Then I drifted off to sleep on a bed that easily could have been made of clouds. I just about cried when I had to check out. The staff at the Langham was friendly and great. I felt welcomed, pampered and in awe of such a beautiful location. Next time you are planning a getaway, with or without your family pet, I highly recommend adding this hotel to the very top of your list. You will never want to leave.
You can find more information on the Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa via their website, or via Facebook and/or Twitter. Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva la Fiesta! is coming to Blu-Ray and DVD on Sept. 18th. For more info, check out the film’s website, or Facebook.
