A couple weeks ago, I shared my daughter’s latest toy obsession- Polly Pocket. Yes, Polly Pocket are a name some of us grew up with or had little sisters obsessed with it, but as you can see from my last post…they have been completely redone. Well, we got a new set…and this time it was just plain cuteness overload. We were sent the Polly Pocket Pet Shop and a Polly Pocket DVD.
We…er, I mean, She got to work right away.
This set did not have the fabulous suction cups that the last did, which was a teeny bit sad. I could easily see why though. There was always something to be moved in the Pet Shop. Whether grooming the cats, feeding the dogs, or having the bunny slide down the slide… this shop was fully equipped in a Pet Shop Palooza. The pieces were tiny but manageable and each pet was so freaking cute. I wanted to just cuddle them up. I mean… my daughter wanted to. Heh.
Sofia had a blast putting together her pet shop. She soon had story lines for each animal…and it was amazing to hear and watch her imagination come to life. The only things I didn’t like was the Polly was just a tad too heavy to stand on the elevator. Everytime we stood her, it would sink and then she would fall (no suction cups!). But overall, definitely a set I would consider for future gifts.
Also, we had a chance to watch the Polly Pocket DVD. I only got to watch a couple minutes with my daughter but the animation was cute and the songs made my daughter get up and dance around her room.
I’m sure we’ll be watching this again…and again…and again. That’s ok, I have a few miniature cats that need a grooming.
Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Mattel Polly Pocket. I received a product samples and a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
