A couple weeks ago, I got to tell you all my shopping experience at Best Buy for a Sirius XM Edge.
Now, let me tell you how this amazing device is helping me celebrate mi cultura and Hispanic Heritage Month.
For as long as I could remember, music has been a huge part of my life. Not just my life, my family. I can close my eyes, turn on one of Sirius Latin Channels and suddenly be transported to a typical Sunday with my family when I was a child. My mom would be blasting Canciones de mi Padra by Linda Ronstandt or some Celia Cruz. As this music was dancing in the air, my mom would be cleaning our home and singing and dancing along. If I moved to the back end of our apartment, my grandma would be playing some Julio Iglesias, Los Bukis, or some Peruvian songs like “El Condor Pasa.”
My culture was very much alive those Sundays…from how we kept our home, to the food we would eat, to the stories my grandparents told us. It’s still music that connects me and whenever I want to connect with that again, I can just tune into one of the many Sirius XM Latin channels (either at home with my portable speaker dock) and on the road. Sirius keeps me celebrating all year long.
You can celebrate too… here are two ways:
