I am a long time Google user and fan. I mean, come on, who doesn’t use Google? They are the ultimate in search engines, and now offer browsers, apps, and tech gear. But now, Google is stepping it up and this time, they will be telling a story.

Google #DisneyOz

This is the first collaboration between Google and Disney, and of course it is all about the story. Oz The Great and Powerful is the focus behind it, and although you have to wait til March 8th to see the film, you can already experience the magic as the browser serves as your portal to a new interactive experience, right at your fingertips.

In Oz, Oscar Diggs (James Franco) is a small time circus musician who is magically whisked away on his hot air balloon to the magical land of Oz. In Oz, there was a legend told that a great wizard would arrive and all it’s people believe he is the one. All but Oz’s three witches, Glinda (Michelle Williams), Theodora (Mila Kunis) and Evanora (Rachel Weisz). Oscar must find out who is really good, who is evil and in the end learn that sometimes, the magic is in being a better man.

The browser opens at the circus in which Oscar lands and from there you create your own journey. You can try out the fun photo booth options:

Or create your own music, or your own movie and to get to the end of the journey, you must navigate your way through an angry tornado to find yourself on the yellow brick road to an exclusive movie clip from the movie. The movie is still a few weeks away but you can start your journey through this wonderful marriage of storytelling and tech…right over HERE.

See you back in Kansas!
