Over the past few months, since moving into our bigger apartment, we have been working on our space bit by bit. It came to us that we totally neglected one area…the bathroom. It needed some life to it, I mean we all spend time in there and it’s a place all our guests see, so why not make it pretty too? Here is the before:

Yuck right? Well… this month, our Lowe’s Challenge was to use Valspar Signature Paint in Pantone’s Color of the Year: Emerald. So after testing out the 4 finishes on my wall (you can see the marks in the yuck above!), I decided to go with the Matte finish and kinda designed around that. Again, I live in an apartment so we can’t exactly redo anything… but we can make what we have look AMAZING. I picked up this ESTATE by Rsi bath storage cabinet.

I also grabbed a new cloth shower curtain that complimented the emerald color and a bathroom caddy so that we wouldn’t have that clutter all around.

Now the bathroom is one of my favorite rooms in the house! The emerald has made it come alive and just a few knick knacks her and there make it stay organized and fresh. Here is the completed look…what do you think?

It’s so remarkable how just painting the walls with such a pretty color can make a big difference in the look of the entire room. The emerald makes the bathroom look more inviting and bright! You did a great job with just a few steps and additions!
