Oh Spring. Looks like most of the country is ready for it. For us here in SoCal, winter was uneventful so spring really only means one thing: ALLERGIES!

That is my gorgeous husband looking… well, not his usual gorgeous self. Allergies have already started to hit us hard…because we have 3 of these:

We keep our home as clean as we can, but still every year my husband, daughter and I get hit hard with spring allergies. We aren’t alone though. According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), approximately 50 million Americans suffer from all types of allergies and experts agree that seasonal allergies are starting earlier, and pollen count is on the rise each year. Also, about 1o million people are allergic to pet dander, which makes it the most common allergy out there. We needed to find a way to clear our home of allergens, and maybe freshen up the place as well. (Ahem… remember, THREE cats? Yea.)

Enter Febreze Allergen Reducer Refreshers!

This new product eliminates odors and reduces up to 95% of inanimate allergens from pollen, pet dander, and dust mite matter that cause discomfort when breathed in from the air.  Its Trap & Lock technology keeps allergens on soft fabrics, such as couches, curtains and carpets, from becoming airborne.

We’ve been a Febreze family for years now, but I gotta say, this new line is my favorite by far. Why? Because WE CAN BREATHE AGAIN! Plus, it has no overwhelming scent. In fact, I would say the smell is neutral or light which is great for us.

Our new routine involves cleaning, then spraying the whole place, including furniture and curtains, with Febreze Allergen Reducer Refreshers. Then, as we sit and bask in our clean home, until our non-sneezing daughter runs through quickly disheveling all the cleaning with lots of glitter, dolls, and frills. But! We are all still sneeze free.

…and that, my friends, is why my heart now belongs to Febreze Allergen Reducers.

We have a lot of allergies and this product sounds worth trying. With 3 dogs it can be tough to keep things as clean as I’d like and an additional tool to reduce allergens in the house would be great.

I’m definitely going to try this! We have a dog & a cat plus we live in the country, so there’s a lot of dust, too. Sneeze, Sneeze!
