When anyone asks me if Los Angeles really is perfect all year long, I simply show them this photo I took:
Oh yea, this was taken when half the country was covered in snow and we decided to have a beach day, because… well, why not. It’s one of the best things about living here in Los Angeles…the easy access to gorgeous beaches. The only issue is, of course, our traffic. It kinda sucks. But if you’re well prepared, it’s not an issue at all. I just grab my best sandals, towel, shades and… well…
…my little secret: Poise Microliners. Well, I guess it’s not so little anymore!
I used to read those pregnancy books and they would kinda breeze through the “after baby” stuff. I saw that I may have some weak bladder issues. I didn’t pay attention, of course, cause in my head “it wasn’t going to happen to me!” Cause you know, we can plan this stuff. Pfft.
The first time it happened to me, my daughter was 5 months old and we were driving cross country from Pennsylvania to California. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere (OK, maybe like Texas or something), I sneezed. It wasn’t a huge sneeze, just your normal achoo! But the very second that was done, I felt a little whoosh come out. I felt… like I peed my pants a little. Which of course sent me into a “oh-my-god-you-have-to-stop-now-i-feel-so-gross-omg-ewww-i-think-i-peed-my-pants” freak out that my poor husband was just staring at me like Whaaaa?
Then I told myself…oh, it was just a one time thing. Ha. HAHA. Hahahaha.
So here we are, 6 yrs later and guess what is with me at all times? Poise Microliners. Cause when I’m stuck in traffic or even taking that 30-40 minute drive to that beachy heaven, I need to be protected and not feel like I’m wearing a diaper. I’ll be talking about it more in a few short weeks. In the meanwhile, Poise and I have a beach date. Shhh.
