I have attended premieres before, it’s one of the perks of covering film, but every one is a new and exciting experience. But, when I got the invitation to attend the World Premiere of Tomorrow I let out a big squeal. You see, the premiere was to be held at Disneyland, which is is a whole new level of premiere. Who would be my guest? Well, it was no question… I wanted to share this Tomorrowland World Premiere Experience with my daughter. After all, it was the day before Mother’s Day, so I could not think of a better way to spend it.
When I told her what we were doing, she started jumping up and down and immediately counting the days until our time to walk the “blue” carpet. She was full of questions: what was the movie about, what would we wear and OMG- We get to party at Disneyland??!!! It was pretty fun to see her glee.
Finally the day came, and thanks to a pre-glam session at a friends beforehand…we got all dolled up and were ready to walk the carpet.
Walking the blue carpet was crazy enough…but while on the blue carpet we saw so many celebrities that we were fans of. My daughter told me after, she couldn’t believe she met “Lily” from Hannah Montana (Emily Osment) and that was probably her favorite meet besides the girls from the movie. Me? Well, I didn’t get a pic with George (I did see him at the after party though) but Lance Bass and I became besties.
After the blue carpet excitement, we headed into the theater to watch the movie. We were sitting among celebs like Molly Ringwald, which was pretty awesome. Wanna know how the movie was? You’ll have to tune in on Friday!
After the movie ended, we were so excited because they were closing off Tomorrowland at Disneyland JUST FOR US! Can you imagine? No lines at Star Tours, Space Mountain, Autopia, and more. Plus eats, treats and unlimited free churros. This was my kind of party.
We also had priority access to Small World, which is my daughter’s favorite ride and definitely one of the best experiences of the evening.
Disneyland alone is magical, but when you add in the Tomorrowland World Premiere, it’s got an extra sprinkle of pixie dust. It’s a night my daughter and I will never forget. Thanks Disney!
