File this in your “Yes, Please” files: Hottie Chris Hemsworth will be our new “Jannine Melnitz” in the female-driven GHOSTBUSTERS reboot. Ooh, gurl. As if we weren’t already foaming at the mouth to see this movie, now comes this Thor-iffic news. The always dapper dressed director Paul Feig took to Twitter to make this amazing announcement.
Here’s the tweet heard round the Twitterverse:

And really, there’s no better person for the job. Just take a look at that time he was an office manager at Empire Entertainment:
Worked out well, no?!
Written by Feig and Katie Dippold (who previously collaborated before together on THE HEAT), Hemsworth will be assisting co-stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristin Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in busting some ghosts – or at least, filing paperwork and taking calls for the powerful ladies as they’re out in the field. According to Variety, Hemsworth had originally passed on the role because it was “too small.” But after the part was re-worked and “beefed up,” he reconsidered. Thank goodness he did. Between his SNL hosting gig, his cameo in the VACATION trailer and now this, we can’t wait to see him embrace comedy.
GHOSTBUSTERS is due on July 22, 2016.
