My family is not the type that just sits in one place during the holidays. Truthfully, we log more miles, carry more people and items in a matter of days during Christmas week than you would think for our family of 3. Having a car that can be comfortable and roomy to handle hundreds of tamales, toys, Target runs and a bunch of cousins needing rides… well, that’s a struggle. Or at least it was until we got a chance to try the 2017 Toyota RAV 4.
For me, this car was a dream. I’ve never really thought about getting anything but a compact car because we are a one child household. But, when things like vacations and holidays arrive, I realize… I need way more room than a compact can provide.
For example, I host every Christmas Eve. My family is Peruvian, so for us, Noche Buena is the most important night and there are a list of traditional must haves, and my home has to be spotless. Plus, for the kids, we get extras and things for breakfast the following day. This is what my RAV4 trunk looked like, just for Noche Buena.
That trunk was a life saver. There are also toys and clothes that grabbed as last minute gifts buried in there.
Now, I drive around in traffic filled Los Angeles daily. There are two things that are a must and that is comfort and convenience. Both of which the RAV4 had.
I mean… look at that dashboard. Everything was easily accessible and high tech. Modern conveniences make being stuck in traffic for 2-3 hours much more tolerable, especially with 3 kids sitting behind me.
As a mom, I need a car that can make my life easier, especially when my life goes from very busy to “oh my god, when do I get a chance to go to the bathroom” busy. That’s what the RAV4 did for me… gave me a chance to relax, enjoy driving in between all the crazy holiday clamor that every mom goes through.
I fell in love with the RAV4, and having been a loyal Toyota driver for years now, I know that means the car is quality I can trust especially with my family in tow.
The truth is, now I am not so sure how I can keep doing everything without the RAV4. Convenience is what modern families need, and the RAV4 made my hectic holidays seem like a dream.
Thanks to Toyota for loaning us the RAV4. #VayamosJuntos #LetsGoPlaces
