Are you getting married soon? Do you need to submit a list of songs to your wedding DJ ASAP and don’t know what sound-scheme to use? Or do you just want to hear some nostalgic, warm synth-y 80’s jams to brighten your day? Well, we’ve got a treat for you!
We slavishly poured over TABLE 19’s end credits (cough, cough, looked in the back of our press notes) and compiled a playlist of the original songs played during the reception. We don’t have access to the cover tunes Oberhofer, the band in the film plays (Could you please release this, Fox Searchlight?!), but we did cull through YouTube to find the originals – and boy are these classics pretty great. There’s even a few deep cuts in there.
Best news of all: there’s no “YMCA” or “You Shook Me All Night Long”! Now that’s music to my ears!
If you don’t already know, TABLE 19 is the new movie in which a group of strangers bond over the fact they’ve been sentenced to the outcast table at a wedding. The group then set out to fix what they think is lacking, which, depending on the character, means dealing with love, loss or loneliness. Here’s the trailer:
