To keep Samara’s curse going, we watched the film and talked to the director of the latest chapter of the Ring franchise. In our conversation, F. Javier Gutierrez shared his excitement to continue the legacy of The Ring and how the film will set the stage for a new incarnation of Samara. We also got a minor update on “The Crow” reboot Gutierrez is executive producing and let him on the fact that one Lin Manuel Miranda is a Crow superfan. We kind of–sort of–fancasted him for the role and now their people have to make it happen. If not their people, lets call upon the power of twitter to push for it!
On May 2nd, 2017, Rings will be available on Blu-ray combo pack and DVD from Paramount Home Media Distribution. It will feature more than 45 minutes of bonus features including extended and deleted scenes as well as an alternate ending. There are also interviews with the cast and crew which will take you behind the scenes of the making of the film. Can’t promise that you won’t get a call in seven days.
