This is a sponsored post for CBS 9JKL in partnership with Role Mommy.
Right before the Thanksgiving break, I was invited to the set of the new CBS comedy, 9JKL. Funny enough, it also happens to be one neighborhood over, so you can say, essentially, I was visiting my neighbors. So, we’re family right?
Well, in “9JKL”, Mark Feuerstein plays Josh Roberts, an out of work actor who moves back to New York, into his parent’s building after he gets a divorce. But, not only is he in the same building, but on one side- his neighbors are his parents, Harry and Judy Roberts (Elliot Gould and Linda Lavin), and the other, his brother the surgeon (David Walton), his sister-in-law the pediatrician (Liza Lapira) and their new baby. FAMILY. Oy!
Feuerstein is not only the lead, but he is also the creator and producer of 9JKL, and along with his wife, Dana Klein (who is an executive producer and writer on the show) developed 9JKL on Mark’s somewhat own experiences with his family. The show is extremely relatable, so it definitely hit a few notes for me. When I moved back to LA from the East Coast, I had to stay with my mom, and let me tell ya, it was an ‘experience.’ But, that’s what makes 9JKL feel so genuine… it reminds you of your own family.
While at the set, we did get to chat with the cast about the show, about feeling like a family and how they each feel like they knew people like the characters on the show. We also got to preview an episode (that airs tonight), which I enjoyed. My husband and I are always on the hunt for a light, and fun comedy, so we are definitely adding this one to our queue!
